Visit to MACH 2026

Yesterday we had the opportunity to visit MACH 2026, the UK’s largest showcase for manufacturing technologies, held at The NEC in Birmingham. It was an exciting chance to step outside of Reliance and see the wider manufacturing industry in action.

During the day we were set the challenge of learning about new technology and products that could help to make improvements in the workplace. We worked in pairs of one first year and one second year apprentice. We will present our findings back to Reliance’s Leadership Team.

We spoke to loads of different companies and explored cutting-edge machinery, automation solutions and the latest innovations in engineering and manufacturing. From CNC machining and robotics to digital manufacturing and smart factory systems, MACH gave us a real insight into where the industry is heading and how the skills we’re developing fit into that future.

Visiting MACH 2026 was a valuable experience for all of us. We’re all working on putting together our presentations ready to present later this month.
